I created this magazine as part of my Publication Design course. "Tri-State Groupie" is a publication inspired by my love for music, and it is centered around local bands of the tri-state area (@visitorstongue of New Jersey, @shakeoutny of New York, and @ito_moonlighthippies of Pennsylvania). The concept, writing, design, illustrations, as well as the majority of the photography (with the exception of the photos taken of ITO and the Moonlight Hippies) are my own work. I captured photos of the bands at local venues and festivals. I interviewed each band as an opportunity to feature up-and-coming musicians/artists while creating designs based on some of my favorite music. Throughout the design process, I learned how to make physical paper prototypes prior to the final print-mockup of the magazine. In addition, I have rendered the digital web and mobile formats of the publication, and I included music relevant mock-up ads for Fender, Spotify, Apple, and Launch Music Conference and Festival (which is actually a festival I attended as a freelance photographer prior to taking this course!).
